Oracle Database Administrator @ Comviva Technology

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Oracle DBA Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (including RAC and Data Guard). Monitor database performance and implement tuning measures. Manage Oracle ASM, RMAN backup/recovery strategies, and OEM for monitoring.
• Handle Oracle patching, cloning, and migration activities. Perform Oracle GoldenGate replication setup and troubleshooting.
• Ensure database security, role management, and audit compliance. Participate in disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing.
• Performance and tuning with good SQL skills 

PostgreSQL DBA Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and manage PostgreSQL databases (community and enterprise editions).
• Handle backup and recovery using pg_dump, pg_basebackup, and WAL archiving.
• Implement streaming replication and high availability using tools like Patroni, repmgr, or pgpool-II.
• Tune PostgreSQL performance through query optimization, indexing, and configuration parameters.
• Manage upgrades and patching with minimal downtime.
• Support migration of databases from Oracle to PostgreSQL (using tools like Ora2Pg or AWS DMS).
• Performance and tuning with good SQL skills
