Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Atlassian Bamboo, onboarding new projects and teams, and managing GitHub integrations and branching strategies. The ideal candidate will support development workflows, improve automation, and ensure seamless integration across tools and environments.
Required Skills:
- 5-8 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or build engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Atlassian Bamboo.
- Proficiency in Git and GitHub, including branching strategies and repository management.
- Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with DevOps tooling: JIRA, Bitbucket/GitHub, Docker, SonarQube, Artifactory, Nexus, etc.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD methodologies, and release management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bamboo Pipeline Development & Maintenance
- Design, implement, and maintain Bamboo CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment processes.
- Configure Bamboo plans, stages, jobs, tasks, and deployment projects.
- Automate build and deployment workflows using scripts (Shell, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
- Optimize existing pipeline performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Integrate Bamboo with tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket/GitHub, SonarQube, Artifactory, etc.
- Monitor pipeline health and troubleshoot build failures and deployment issues.
GitHub Integrations & Branching Strategy Management
- Configure and manage GitHub integrations with CI/CD pipelines (webhooks, status checks, secrets, etc.).
- Develop and enforce Git branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based, release branching, etc.).
- Implement GitHub Actions or hybrid Bamboo + GitHub workflows where required.
- Manage repository structure, permissions, branch protection rules, and code review policies.
- Assist teams with Git workflows, merge conflict resolution, and versioning best practices.
