UI Angular - Engineer @ Iris Software

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer (4-6 years) with strong expertise in Angular, TypeScript, REST API integration, and practical exposure to AWS deployment.

The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Angular ecosystems such as components, modules, RxJS, routing, forms, state management and can build scalable, maintainable UI applications for enterprise use. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable UI components, building responsive interfaces, and collaborating with backend engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end functionality. Also, the candidate would work closely with senior architects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Angular Application Development

a. Contribute to the design and implementation of modular, component-driven applications using Angular 10+ and TypeScript.

b. Implement reusable UI components, smart/dumb component architecture, and shared modules.

c. Work extensively with:

i. Components, Modules, Services, Directives, Pipes

ii. RxJS, Observables, Subjects, Operators

iii. Async pipes, reactive patterns, subscriptions handling

iv. Angular lifecycle hooks

v. Routing and Lazy Loading

d. Integrate with RESTful APIs, handle secure calls, and manage tokens.

e. Understanding of WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE) for real-time applications

2. Cloud

a. Work with cloud services (preferably AWS S3, API Gateway, Cognito) for deployment and integration.

3. Collaboration

a. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and documentation.

b. Follow best practices in coding standards, testing and DevOps

c. Collaborate with team.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Angular (10+), TypeScript, ES6+
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Bootstrap/Tailwind
• Experience in RxJS & Reactive Programming
• Strong understanding of REST APIs integration & JWT/OAuth-based authentication
• Experience with Unit Testing
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, GitLab/GitHub Actions.

Good to Have

• Practical experience with Generative AI and LLM-based applications.
• Good understanding of RAG system, embeddings, vector databases.
• Experience with API development, microservices, containerization etc.
