The Medical Coding Manager will lead and manage coding operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of coding and transcription services. The role requires strong experience in transitioning projects from offshore to onshore, managing teams, and maintaining high-quality standards across all medical documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the medical coding team to ensure accurate and compliant coding for all specialties.
  
• Oversee offshore-to-onshore migration of transcription/coding operations, ensuring smooth transition and workflow stability.
  
• Develop and implement coding guidelines, quality standards, and productivity metrics.
  
• Monitor audits, accuracy rates, and ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and payer-specific requirements.
  
• Coordinate with clients, QA teams, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely delivery.
  
• Train and mentor coders, ensuring continuous skill enhancement and certification readiness.
  
• Manage daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution to meet client SLAs.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Life Sciences, or related field.
  
• CPC, CCS, or equivalent medical coding certification preferred.
  
• 10+ years of medical coding experience, including 4+ years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  
• Strong experience in offshore to onshore transitions/coding transitions.
  
• Excellent knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, payer guidelines, and compliance standards.
  
• Strong communication, leadership, and client-handling skills.
