Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the expansion across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India. The role involves identifying potential properties, building partnerships, evaluating market opportunities, and onboarding new locations to support the company's rapid growth strategy


Key Responsibilities


1. Market Expansion

  • Identify, evaluate, and finalize suitable properties in Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities.
  • Conduct site visits, feasibility assessments, and demographic studies.

2. Business Development & Partnerships

  • Build strong relationships with local property owners, small-format real estate developers, municipal bodies, and community institutions.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, agreements, and partnership models aligned with business objectives.
  • Understand local market dynamics, competition, and customer behavior.

3. Concept Promotion & Stakeholder Communication

  • Clearly articulate business value to potential partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Technical, Legal, Projects) to ensure smooth onboarding of new properties.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the partner acquisition lifecycle.

4. Financial & Commercial Evaluation

  • Develop financial projections, ROI analyses, and investment justification for each proposed location.
  • Ensure commercial viability through optimal revenue models.

5. Reporting & Monitoring

  • Maintain a pipeline of prospects and update progress reports regularly.
  • Work closely with leadership on expansion planning, timelines, and strategic improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 10-15 years of experience in business development, franchise expansion, retail development, or property acquisitionpreferably in hospitality, retail chains, or real estate sectors.
  • Strong exposure to Tier 2 and Tier 3 market expansion, with demonstrated experience in identifying, evaluating, and scaling new locations in emerging markets.
