A Wind Project Civil Site Engineer manages on-site construction for wind farms, focusing on foundations (gravity, piled), access roads, substations, and quality control (QA/QC) of earthworks/concrete, ensuring strict adherence to safety (HSE) and design standards, coordinating contractors, and documenting progress for timely, budget-friendly project completion in renewable energy. Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Technical Review: Analyze civil designs, specs, and geotechnical reports for foundations, roads, and auxiliary structures.
- Site Preparation: Supervise earthworks (cut/fill, compaction) and infrastructure (roads, crane pads, drainage).
- Foundation Construction: Oversee concrete pours, rebar, curing, and quality for turbine foundations.
- Quality Assurance: Implement QC procedures, conduct material testing (soil, concrete), and maintain records per IS Codes/standards.
- HSE Compliance: Enforce EHS policies, safety regulations, and ensure proper PPE usage.
- Contractor Management: Coordinate, supervise, and manage civil contractors and vendors.
- Documentation: Prepare reports, progress updates, and maintain project documentation.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, engineering teams, and regulatory bodies.
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of wind turbine foundations, site prep, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD-Pro, MS Office.
- Knowledge of IS Codes, quality standards (QA/QC).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
Qualifications (Typical):
- Bachelor's degree in Civil /Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in wind/renewable energy projects.
- Experience with large-scale site execution, foundation works, and infrastructure.
