Job Description
-
Prepare and cook a wide range of South Indian vegetarian dishes such as idli, dosa varieties, vada, upma, pongal, sambar, rasam, poriyal, kootu, and rice specialties.

Develop new vegetarian South Indian recipes and enhance existing menu items.

Ensure the taste, consistency, and presentation of all dishes meet restaurant standards.

Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen at all times.

Manage ingredient preparation, cutting, grinding, and masala-making.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the management for ingredient purchasing.
-
Train junior kitchen staff and maintain a smooth kitchen workflow.

Ensure proper portion control to minimize food waste.

Follow all FSSAI and food safety guidelines.

Proven work experience as a South Indian Chef, preferably in a vegetarian restaurant.

Strong knowledge of authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine.

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.

Flexibility to work morning shifts and weekends.
