Job Title: Manager Medical Data Abstraction (RCM)
Location: Bangalore
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manager Medical Data Abstraction (RCM) to lead our oncology abstraction team. The role involves overseeing clinical data abstraction and validation of medical records to ensure accuracy in coding, billing, and reporting. The manager will drive quality control, compliance, and team performance to optimize documentation accuracy and reimbursement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the medical data abstraction team to achieve SLAs and KPIs.
- Assign workloads, monitor performance, and conduct training and mentoring.
- Review and validate abstracted data from patient charts, EHRs, and clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, ICD-10, CPT, HEDIS, and payer guidelines.
- Collaborate with coding, billing, QA, CDI, and clinical teams for RCM alignment.
- Generate reports on accuracy, productivity, and quality metrics; present KPIs to leadership.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and workflow optimization.
Qualifications
- Degree in Life Sciences / Nursing / Allied Health / Medical background (MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BSc Nursing, etc.).
- Certification in Oncology preferred but optional.
- Strong domain knowledge in Oncology, Human Anatomy, Physiology, or Genetics.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in medical data abstraction, clinical documentation, and RCM workflow.
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, HEDIS, MIPS, and quality measure abstraction.
- Skilled in EHR/EMR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.).
- Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
