Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to drive the modernization of our data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines as we migrate to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)leveraging Dataform for orchestration and transformation.
You will collaborate with multiple teams to create a scalable, efficient, and future-ready data environment that supports advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
Lead the migration of existing workflows to GCPs Dataform and establish a robust data pipeline framework.
Build efficient systems for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across platforms.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ensure data accessibility and integrity.
Implement and monitor data governance, quality, and performance standards.
Optimize GCP resources for performance and cost efficiency.
Continuously evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance pipeline performance.
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data transformation frameworks.
Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including BigQuery, Dataform, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data warehouse architectures.
Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
Solid understanding of data quality, observability, and reliability practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in data migration or modernization projects.
Familiarity with Airflow, dbt, or similar orchestration tools
Experience with streaming data and event-driven architectures.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
