Role : Sr, / Jr. Billing Executive
Department: Finance / Accounts
Reports To: Sr. Accounts Manager / Finance Head
Location: [Chennai]
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
The Billing Executive is responsible for preparing and managing customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing, reconciling accounts, and coordinating with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies. This role ensures smooth billing operations and supports financial accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and process customer invoices in accordance with company policies.
- Verify and ensure accuracy of billing data before issuing invoices.
- Coordinate with the sales, operations, and finance teams for billing-related information.
- Maintain up-to-date billing records and documentation.
- Reconcile billing accounts and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and assist in accounts receivable management.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payment issues.
- Prepare and present billing reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and accounting standards (GST, TDS, etc.).
- Support the finance team during audits and month-end closing activities.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and billing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
