Job Description
Primary Skills:
- AWS Infrastructure & Architecture
- Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, peering, IGW etc.)
- Designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures
- Infrastructure Migration
- Experience migrating workloads from on-premises to AWS
- Familiarity with AWS Migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, Server Migration Service, Application Migration Service)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Proficient in Terraform (preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins)
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Creating architecture diagrams(HLD/LLD), runbooks, and technical documentation
- Security & Compliance
IAM policies, encryption, security groups, and compliance frameworks
- Cloud Cost Optimization (FinOps)
- Implementing cost-saving strategies (rightsizing, reserved instances, auto-scaling)
- Familiarity with AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, and Trusted Advisor
- Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning
- Diagnosing and resolving complex issues in AWS environments
- Network, compute, and storage troubleshooting
Secondary Skills (Nice-to-have or supporting competencies)
- Security & Compliance
- IAM policies, encryption, security groups, and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
- Monitoring & Logging
- Experience with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools like Datadog or Splunk
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Working with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Finance)
- Translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Multi-Cloud Awareness
- Exposure to Azure or GCP is a plus, especially for hybrid or multi-cloud strategiesRole & responsibilities
