Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester / QA Engineer to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers, project managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify issues, ensure requirements are met, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, product owners, service teams, and other stakeholders to ensure software solutions meet user expectations.
- Participate in project meetings to understand requirements and document them clearly.
- Design and develop comprehensive test cases based on specifications and requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis of identified defects and work with the team to mitigate risks.
- Conduct exploratory and usability testing to detect issues before production release.
- Execute detailed functional and design testing to ensure all features perform as intended.
- Contribute to improving software testing processes and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) when required.
- Ensure adherence to company processes and quality standards within the software department.
- Maintain a detailed issue log and track defects through resolution.
- Stay up to date with testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Apply various testing methods to ensure compatibility across different software environments.
- Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Validate both functional and design aspects of software products.
- Utilize basic database knowledge for test data validation.
Good to Have / Preferred Skills
- Experience with automated testing tools.
- Programming knowledge (preferably in Python).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern testing frameworks.
