Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Design Manager / Senior Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of civil and structural design with specific expertise in formwork systems. This role requires strong technical proficiency, hands-on experience in formwork design applications, and a thorough understanding of construction drawings and execution methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop formwork systems including Conventional, Aluminium, Steel, and Plastic formwork.
- Prepare and review 2D and 3D formwork design drawings using relevant design software.
- Analyze and interpret civil and structural drawings to determine formwork design requirements.
- Collaborate with project and site teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of formwork designs.
- Optimize formwork designs for safety, cost-effectiveness, and constructability.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety codes, and client specifications.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for design approvals and modifications.
- Support formwork execution teams with technical guidance and problem-solving.
- Prepare design documentation, reports, and calculations as required.
- Utilize Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools where applicable to enhance design efficiency and visualization.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong background in Civil & Structural Design Engineering with a focus on Formwork Design.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design applications (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, etc.).
- Familiarity with design analysis software for structural and formwork design.
- Working knowledge of BIM platforms is an added advantage.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of formwork execution and site practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.E / M.E in Civil Engineering with minimum 6-7 years of relevant experience, OR
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 10-12 years of relevant experience
