Job Description
Manager Networking will be responsible for managing and maintaining the companys network infrastructure, ensuring low-latency, secure, and reliable connectivity across trading systems, branches, co-location facilities, and data centers. This role is critical for supporting real-time trading platforms and ensuring compliance with SEBI, NSE, BSE, and exchange regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the design, implementation, and operations of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, wireless, and co-location networks.
Ensure low-latency, high-performance, and high-availability network connectivity for trading platforms and critical business applications.
Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
Perform regular capacity planning, redundancy checks, and optimization of network bandwidth.
Work closely with Information Security and Compliance teams to ensure the network meets regulatory and cybersecurity standards (SEBI, NSE/BSE requirements, ISO 27001).
Implement firewall policies, VPNs, IPS/IDS, and other security measures to safeguard data and trading infrastructure.
Participate in audits, DR drills, and vulnerability assessments.
Manage exchange connectivity, including leased lines, MPLS, internet, and FIX protocol-based connections.
Coordinate with telecom vendors, exchanges, and data center partners to ensure uninterrupted connectivity and DR readiness.
Ensure optimal configuration of co-location infrastructure for minimal latency.
Oversee 24x7 NOC operations, ensuring prompt incident response and change management.
Develop and maintain SOPs, network documentation, and escalation matrices.
Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and administrators.
Manage relationships with ISPs, network equipment vendors, and service providers.
Evaluate and implement new network technologies to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science / IT / Electronics or related field.
812 years of experience in network operations, with at least 35 years in a managerial role in broking, trading, or BFSI environments.
Strong expertise in:
Routing & switching (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
Firewalls and network security (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint)
Exchange connectivity, co-location networks, and leased lines
MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN technologies
Certifications like CCNA / CCNP / JNCIA / NSE are preferred.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for trading networks (SEBI, NSE/BSE).
