Job Description
Job Title: Area Manager -Operations
Department: Operations
Reports To: Regional / Zonal Operations Manager
Location: Gurugram
Job Summary:
The Area Manager-Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple restaurant/kitchen outlets within the assigned territory. The role focuses on operational excellence, cost control, people management, customer satisfaction, and ensuring adherence to brand standards and food safety norms.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Supervise and ensure smooth operations of all assigned outlets/kitchens.
- Monitor daily sales, production, and service quality metrics.
- Ensure all outlets meet company standards in hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Implement operational SOPs and audit compliance regularly.
- Manage stock levels, procurement, and wastage control efficiently.
Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate outlet managers, chefs, and ground staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and effective shift planning.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer focus.
Sales & Profitability
- Drive sales and revenue targets for each outlet.
- Monitor P&L statements and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and service.
Customer Experience
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience across all outlets.
- Handle escalated customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Analyze feedback and take corrective measures for continuous improvement.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, FSSAI, and hygiene standards.
- Oversee preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
- Maintain documentation and reports as per company and legal requirements.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly performance reports.
- Coordinate with central teams (HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc.) for operational support.
- Execute new product launches, promotional campaigns, and training programs in assigned areas.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of QSR or food service operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data-driven reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Hotel Management / Business Administration / Food Technology or related field.
- 2-7 years of experience in QSR, restaurant chain, or cloud kitchen operations.
- Experience in managing multiple outlets or regions preferred.
