Cloud Devops Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, serverless computing, cloud security principles, and identity management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools
- Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda
- Create automated workflows and solutions to improve operational efficiency
- Configure and manage infrastructure automation using Ansible
- Design and implement secure network architectures using Security Groups and NACLs
- Architect and implement proper IAM strategies including roles, permissions, and access boundaries
- Establish clear security personas and role-based access control models
- Ensure principle of least privilege is applied across all cloud resources
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational incidents across cloud environments
- Collaborate with development teams to implement infrastructure requirements
- Ensure infrastructure complies with security best practices and organizational policies
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering roles (AWS)
- Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
- Experience developing and deploying AWS Lambda functions and event-driven architectures
- Demonstrated expertise in building automation solutions for infrastructure management
- Experience with GitHub for version control and GitHub Actions for CI/CD
- Advanced knowledge of Ansible for configuration management
- Deep understanding of network security concepts including Security Groups and NACLs
- Expertise in IAM, permission models, and implementing security boundaries
- Experience designing and implementing role-based access control systems
- Understanding of security personas and how to map technical controls to business roles
- Experience with incident response and operational troubleshooting
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for complex infrastructure issues
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification etc.)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging solutions
- Background in DevOps practices and methodologies
- Experience with Python, Node.js, or other languages commonly used for automation
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture patterns
- Experience with implementing service control policies and permission boundaries
