Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Data Engineer with 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, and SQL-based databases.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data integration, transformation, and analytics within the Azure ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
- Develop and optimize data transformation workflows using Azure Databricks (PySpark/Scala).
- Manage and maintain Azure SQL databases, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure).
- Experience with Power BI, Synapse Analytics, or other Azure data services.
- Knowledge of Python, Spark, or Scala for data processing.
