Software Tester @ Vakils Premedia

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Tester with up to 1 year of experience (or a fresher with strong fundamentals) to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of Manual Testing, Functional Testing, and UI Testing, along with familiarity in API and Database Testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing and executing manual test cases based on project requirements.
• Perform functional, UI, and regression testing for web and mobile applications.
• Report bugs, track defects, and verify fixes using tools like Zoho, JIRA or similar platforms.
• Support the QA team in test planning, documentation, and execution.
• Work closely with developers to understand features and resolve issues effectively.
• Execute basic SQL queries for backend data validation.
• Gain hands-on experience with API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Participate in regular QA meetings and contribute to improving testing processes.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field).
• Up to 1 year of experience in software testing (manual or internship experience preferred).
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
• Basic knowledge of functional, UI, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with API testing and SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
• Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and testing methods.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of API testing and database validation using SQL.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
