Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Overall exp : 6+

Mandatory skills : Robot EOAT Design, SolidWorks, PLC, HMI, and SCADA.

Work location : Chennai

Qualification Criteria : B.E/M.E Mechanical

Any domain specification : Automation and Robotics

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop custom EOATs for various Cobot applications (e.g., pick-and-place, welding, assembly).
Design manipulator arms and mechanical systems tailored to specific automation tasks.
Integrate robotic systems with industrial control platforms including PLC, HMI, and SCADA.
Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prototyping of robotic solutions.
Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards (ISO/TS 15066, CE, etc.).
Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of robotic systems on-site.
Document design specifications, test results, and integration procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field.
6+ years of experience in EOAT and manipulator design for Cobots (e.g., UR, FANUC, KUKA, ABB).
Experience with vision systems and sensor integration.
Exposure to AI/ML-based robotic control systems.
Certifications in automation or robotics (e.g., Siemens PLC, UR Academy).
Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Catia, UG NX, etc.).
Strong understanding of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.).
Experience with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, ProfiNet).
Familiarity with robotic simulation tools (e.g., RoboDK, V-REP, or similar).
Knowledge of safety standards and collaborative robot compliance.
Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
