Designation: Specialist - Infrastructure Support/IT Support
Key Responsibilities
Manage, configure, and monitor Sophos Firewalls (XG, XGS series).
Administer and troubleshoot Ruckus WiFi networks (SmartZone, Unleashed, and Cloud).
Perform routine tasks related to Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
Provide Level 2 support for network, server, and security-related incidents.
Conduct firewall policy updates, firmware upgrades, VPN setup and monitoring.
Monitor network traffic and performance, optimize throughput and security.
Handle Wi-Fi SSID setups, guest portals, VLAN tagging, and access point provisioning.
Manage user accounts and permissions in AD.
Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 3 teams to resolve escalated issues.
Create and maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and infrastructure.
Participate in audits and compliance efforts related to IT infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or network administration.
- Strong experience with Sophos XG/XGS Firewalls, including policies, NAT, IPS, VPNs.
- Solid hands-on experience with Ruckus WiFi systems - access point deployment, SmartZone controller management.
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration - Active Directory, GPO, DNS/DHCP.
- Good understanding of LAN/WAN concepts, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Experience with system monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
