Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare product engineering and medical devices to oversee and coordinate multiple independent scrum teams working on a PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) application build. Unlike a regular Scrum Master role, this is a PMO-driven position that requires cross-team coordination, progress tracking, impediment management, and senior stakeholder interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a central coordination point across multiple independent scrum teams involved in the PACS application build.
- Drive program-level visibility by ensuring Jira entries are updated, progress is monitored, and issues are highlighted proactively.
- Identify and track impediments/blockers, escalate issues, and work with teams and stakeholders to resolve them.
- Partner with senior stakeholders and team members with 20+ years of experience, ensuring clear, assertive, and transparent communication.
- Prepare and present progress/status reports, dashboards, ,and risk assessments to leadership.
- Ensure process discipline and adherence to PMO best practices across all teams.
- Actively engage with teams to understand challenges, ask the right questions, and provide necessary support.
- Drive collaboration across engineering, QA, and product management teams in the healthcare product engineering domain.
- Maintain a focus on delivery excellence, quality, and compliance in line with healthcare and medical device standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of overall experience with a minimum of 10 years in project/program management roles.
- Proven track record in healthcare product engineering and medical devices domain (mandatory).
- Strong experience managing enterprise-scale healthcare applications (PACS, RIS, HIS, or similar).
- Expertise in PMO practices in,cluding governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) for backlog tracking and reporting.
- Ability to challenge status quo, raise issues assertively, and drive resolution in complex team environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact with senior professionals and executives confidently.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies but with a broader program/project management orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, Prince2 or Agile certifications (SAFe, CSM, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
- Prior experience in coordinating multiple scrum teams within a healthcare/medical device product development program.
- Experience working in a global/matrix organization with distributed teams.
