Backend Power BI Developer @ Adobe

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Power BI datasets and data models using DAX and Power Query (M).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and frontend developers to translate reporting requirements into efficient backend data structures.
• Optimize data refresh performance and implement incremental data loading strategies.
• Integrate Power BI with various data sources including SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Dataverse, and REST APIs.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all Power BI assets.
• Support version control, deployment pipelines, and workspace management in Power BI Service.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data accuracy, performance, and access.

• 3 5 years of experience in Power BI development, with a focus on backend/data modeling.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
• Experience with Power BI Service, including workspace configuration and dataset management.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Power BI (e.g., using Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of enterprise-level reporting and dashboarding standards.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
• Microsoft Power BI certification is a plus.
