Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Network Infrastructure Solution Architect with a minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in designing and architecting complex network transport solutions. This role demands deep expertise in Data Center network design, SDN/SD-WAN technologies, and network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating HLDs, LLDs, customer-facing documentation, and as-built drawings, while leading strategic network initiatives across telecom, enterprise, and government/PSU sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design:
- Design and document High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for end-to-end network infrastructure.
- Architect scalable and resilient transport networks for telecom, enterprise, and government environments.
- Lead Data Center network design (Leaf-Spine architecture) ensuring high availability and performance.
Technology Leadership:
- Drive adoption and integration of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) solutions.
- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance network agility and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network architecture with business and operational goals.
Security & Optimization:
- Design and integrate network security solutions for enterprise amd DC including Firewalls (FW), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS/NGIPS), Load Balancers (LB), Web Application Firewalls (WAF) etc.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices across all network layers.
- Analyze network performance and recommend optimization strategies for throughput, latency, and fault tolerance.
Documentation & Client Engagement:
- Prepare and present customer-facing design documentation, technical proposals, and solution briefs.
- Create and maintain as-built drawings, network diagrams, and operational manuals.
- Act as a technical lead in client workshops, design reviews, and solution validation sessions.
Required Technical Skills:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in network architecture and infrastructure design.
- Expertise in Data Center networking technologies, VXLAN, EVPN etc.
- Hands-on experience with SDN platforms (e.g., NOKIA, Cisco, VMware) and SD-WAN solutions (e.g., Cisco Viptela, Fortinet, Versa).
- Strong understanding of network security technologies: NGFW, IPS/IDS, WAF, LB, VPN, segmentation.
- Familiarity with routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP, etc.).
- Experience with network management and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes, ITOM frameworks, and workflow/ticketing platforms (ServiceNow, Remedy).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (IT, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field).
- Industry certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, Fortinet NSE, VMware VCAP-NV are preffered.
- Experience in multi-domain environments including telecom transport, enterprise LAN/WAN, and government/PSU networks.
- Exposure to cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure models.
Work Environment:
- On-Site work model with occasional travel to client sites and data centres.
- Collaborative and fast-paced environment with opportunities to lead strategic infrastructure projects.
