Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Lead with expertise in infrastructure management to join our team. As a DevOps Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure, with a focus on configuration management, containerization, orchestration, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions using modern DevOps tools and practices.
2. Manage configuration management tools to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure resources.
3. Implement Docker containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes for deploying and managing microservices-based applications.
4. Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to provision and manage cloud resources across multiple environments.
5. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
6. Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability using monitoring tools such as DataDog.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in DevOps and infrastructure management.
9. Provision, configure, and manage AWS resources such as EC2 instances, RDS, EKS, lambda functions, SNS, S3 buckets, and VPCs to ensure a scalable, secure, and cost-effective environment. Handle autoscaling to ensure resource availability during peak demand.
Leadership:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team member
- Facilitate effective communication within the team to ensure everyone is aligned on goals and tasks
- Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including developers, infra, and security
- Foster a collaborative environment to encourage knowledge sharing and teamwork
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Lead or related role, with a strong focus on infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and DevOps tools like Azure Devops, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, helm charts, Github, Jfrog.
- Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Azure DevOps for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Hands-on experience with Docker containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes in production environments.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and experience with Terraform for managing cloud resources.
- Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and version control systems like BitBucket.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python) for automation and tooling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
