Job Title: Part-Time Multispecialty Medical Coder (WFO Madhavaram)
Location: Work From Office (WFO) Near Madhavaram, Chennai
Shift Timing: 6-Hour Shift (Part-Time)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multispecialty Medical Coder for a part-time, in-office role. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on coding experience with in-depth knowledge in E/M coding and strong expertise across multiple specialties. The role also requires a solid understanding of Denial Management processes to support our revenue cycle team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate medical coding for a wide range of specialties including:
[Paediatrics, OBY/GYN, Cardiology, ENT, Rheumatology, Nephrology, Neurology, Evaluation & Management (E & M), Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Surgery]
- Apply advanced knowledge of E/M guidelines to ensure compliance with current coding regulations.
- Review clinical documents and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Collaborate with physicians and billing teams to clarify documentation and resolve coding issues.
- Analyze and resolve coding-related claim denials.
- Assist in Denial Management to optimize collections and reduce AR.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and payer guidelines.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of professional medical coding experience.
- Strong proficiency in E/M coding.
- Hands-on experience across multiple specialties is a must.
- Familiarity with Denial Management processes.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Type:
- Part-Time 6-hour daily shift
- Work From Office (WFO) Must be able to commute to Madhavaram
