Job Description
Position: Welding Fixture Maintenance Technician
Department: Tool Room / Maintenance
Location: Nighoje Chakan, Pune
Reporting To: Maintenance Engineer / Tool Room Incharge
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive & breakdown maintenance of welding fixtures (robotic & manual).
- Check fixture clamps, pneumatic cylinders, locators, and sensors to ensure functionality.
- Troubleshoot fixture-related issues during production to minimize downtime.
- Perform fixture alignment, calibration, and part quality validation.
- Conduct fixture modifications & improvements for new models or design changes.
- Maintain fixture history records, spares inventory, and service logs.
- Support production & welding engineers during new project trials.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, safety, and ISO/IATF standards in fixture maintenance.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of robotic welding fixtures (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka preferred).
- Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, and limit switches.
- Ability to read fixture drawings & welding jig designs.
- Hands-on fitting, assembly & troubleshooting skills.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Tool & Die.
- Experience: 2-5 years in welding fixture maintenance.
