Software Tester @ Hitachi

Job Description

As a Software Tester in our company, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Analyzing requirements and creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases. - Performing manual testing of web and mobile applications to ensure functionality and usability. - Designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, etc. - Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. - Working closely with developers and product teams to resolve issues and improve product quality. - Performing regression and performance testing as needed. - Participating in test planning, estimation, and status reporting activities. - Maintaining and updating test automation frameworks. To excel in this role, the following qualifications are required: - Must have 2+ years of experience in software testing (manual and automation). - Strong knowledge of testing concepts, SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle. - Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Postman, JMeter, etc. - Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools. - Good understanding of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
