Job Description

    As an Assistant Vice President in the Fund Accounting & Operations team at Oaktree, you will be a key member of the Shared Services team responsible for centralizing and streamlining fund data across various accounting teams. Your role will involve reviewing accounting-related responses, managing communication with different departments, and overseeing investor performance calculations. Strong communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills are crucial for success in this position. Key Responsibilities: - Manage communication across departments to respond to due diligence requests from prospective clients efficiently - Provide oversight and guidance to team members in Hyderabad office to ensure consistent deliverables - Review and validate complex investor performance calculations and supporting materials prepared by analysts - Review and process ad hoc client inquiries related to fund reporting and partner activity - Serve as a primary contact for client-facing requests involving accounting data and reporting - Support consistency and accuracy across fund accounting processes by identifying process improvement opportunities Qualifications: - Minimum 8-10+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the investment management industry - 3+ years of management experience with proven leadership skills - Strong communication skills tailored to various audiences - Knowledge of private investment funds, investment company accounting, and partnership accounting - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Personal Attributes: - Relationship Building: Effective collaboration with diverse teams - Communication: Strong interpersonal and verbal/written skills - Independence & Collaboration: Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment - Flexibility & Organization: Adaptability to shifting priorities and timelines - Driving Results: Commitment to achieving results with a strong sense of ownership - Intellectual Curiosity: Enthusiasm for learning new things and engaging across a wide range of issues Education: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Equal Opportunity Employment Policy: - Oaktree follows an equal opportunity employment policy for all applicants, employees, clients, and contractors.
