Senior Backend Engineer @ BEO Software

Job Description

Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications using the Laravel framework, Write clean, well-structured, and efficient PHP 8
3+ code
Work with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, to design schemas, write complex queries (if Eloquent is not suitable), and optimize queries for performance
General understanding of Redis used as a cache storage
Integrate and manage file storage using AWS S3 for media and user uploads
Utilize AWS SES for all email sending and deliverability metrics
Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle from concept to deployment and maintenance
Troubleshoot and debug existing applications
Upgrade of frameworks and used dependencies
Participate in code reviews
Desired Candidate Profile
Strong proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework
Solid experience with RDBMS schema design and query optimization
Familiarity with cloud services, including practical experience with AWS S3 and AWS SES
Expertise in writing and consuming REST-APIs
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Basic knowledge of the frontend stack (Tailwind CSS, Vue, Livewire in our case) to collaborate efficiently with other team members
Understanding of security in the context of web applications (e-g
