Location Security Ops Manager @ Wipro

The role of the incumbent would be to identify and evaluate risks and threats to assigned sites from time to time and implement security risk mitigation strategies including employment of resources i.e. Manpower and equipment, in line with Companys Security Policy, Global best practices and Security Standards.

The person will be responsible for judicious deployment of the resources, plan and conduct supervision by supervisory and security staff at site and respond to all emergencies and untoward occurrences reported/identified at the premises or in the vicinity of the premises, which may have potential to affecting business operations and / or the premises.He/ She will be the strategic head of the unit and would spearhead the location from strategic overview. The incumbent shall be overall responsible for the performance of the unit.

• Conduct Security Risk Assessments and Vulnerability assessments for existing & proposed Sites.
• Support Project Management of Security Systems ensuring delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of security equipment as per organisational policy.
• Conduct security related investigations as directed and prepare incident / investigation reports.
• Ensure that security equipment (e.g., CCTV, Access control system, alarms, etc.) grid is intact with correct escalation matrix and adhering to CIA triad and response cycle.
• Ensure that alerts/alarms from security devices and systems are timely addressed as per the defined procedures.
• Support internal & external audits on security related aspects.
• Ensure compliance of the unit to various security compliance aspects.
• Coordinate appointment of ERT members & Fire Wardens trough effective ERT trainings.
• Oversee and Conduct of Fire drills, Evacuation drills, Mock drills.
• Participate in the planning, exercise or execution of the crisis management plan as necessary.
• Liaising with Law enforcement Authorities, Fire services and Local Security forums and chapters.
• Maintain awareness of the regional security situation through monitoring internal and external sources as well as maintaining relationships with internal regional experts.
• Ensure security alerts are understood by the organizational units / leadership and provide guidance in developing a response / mitigation plan.
• Assist and actively participate in Crisis management tabletop discussions and scenario response.
• Act as focal point for security advice to CAPEX / OPEX projects for the location.
• Support the Location / Zonal Head and the corporate team in sourcing cost effective security systems and services to ensure optimum utilization of budget.
• Carry out cost rationalization initiatives at regular intervals.
• Ensure background checks and documents of screening for guards and security vendor staff is carried out and are PASARA compliant.
• Ensure guards are adequately trained and meet quality specified in the Security Policy, SOP and contract document.
• Conduct spot checks on guards and security system vendors to ensure performance.
• Provide inputs on security vendor performance for the purpose of vendor selection and contract.
• Carry out regular security performance reviews of team (including off-role and contractual key staff) to ensure efficient & effective delivery of security solutions adhering to organisational standards.
• Supervision and guidance to all staff, including 24-7 escalation support to the intelligence and operational desks.
• Management of Security Managers and Specialists including professional development, appraisals, performance reviews and objective setting.

• Minimum 7 years experience in Corporate Security domain.
• Graduate from a recognized university.
• Any professional security certification (CPP, PSP etc) is desired.
• Experience in Physical security management of large campuses with more than 10000 personnel, engaging more than 300 guards, 500 + CCTV cameras and access control points.

• In-depth understanding of Physical Security discipline along with practical knowledge of physical security controls and solutions.
• Apply highly developed inductive reasoning skills to provide a proactive approach to potential threats.
• Prepare analyses, assessments, or other products by applying expert judgment and specialized experience in interpreting information and making decisions.
• Prepare and present briefings on projects, studies and analyses to mid/high level managers.
• Discerns patterns of complex behaviour; provides accurate understanding of present and future threats.
• Provide analysis to guide decision makers.
• Provide critical front-line intelligence support to operational personnel.
• Extract essential information and analysis from investigations and intelligence products and synthesizes the information into actionable reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and report writing skills.
• Comfortable and confident to work and deliver unsupervised at the same time willing to take on additional work responsibilities and stand in for team members as required, demonstrating dependability.
