Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Fund Accounting team, ensuring high performance and adherence to SLAs. Develop strategies to optimize team efficiency and enhance process accuracy.
- Oversee the reconciliation process, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of discrepancies across various financial products such as Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies in fund accounting and reconciliation processes. Regularly update the team on changes in compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Capital Markets and Custodian teams, to streamline operations and improve overall service delivery.
- Develop and implement training programs for team members to enhance their skills in fund accounting and financial reconciliation processes.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of fund accounting processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive the development and implementation of new technologies to improve fund accounting processes and increase automation.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex reconciliation issues and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve them efficiently.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15-18 years of experience in managing FA teams. Out of this 10 -12 years should be in managing relevant experience in Fund Accounting and reconciliation process
- Proven experience in managing a team of at least 40-90 professionals.
- Demonstrated expertise in global stakeholder management.
- Master's degree in finance or accounting.
- Certification such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of Capital Market products and its lifecycle
- Experience in managing international Clients
