Position Overview
We are seeking a talented CAD Automation Sr Engg. / Lead to join our dynamic team as an
individual contributor. In this role, you will work closely with the CAD project team, Data
Science and Generative AI teams, clients, and other stakeholders to develop and integrate
seamless automation solutions that enhance design processes and improve project
outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration:
Engage with CAD project teams to understand workflow requirements and
identify opportunities for automation.
Work alongside Data Science and Generative AI teams to leverage data-
driven insights and AI capabilities in automation development.
Interface with clients and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure
automation solutions meet their needs.
Automation Development:
Design and implement automation scripts and tools using software such as
Dynamo, Grasshopper, and Python to streamline CAD processes.
Integrate automation solutions into existing workflows, ensuring compatibility
and enhancing overall efficiency.
Testing and Validation:
Develop and execute test plans to validate automation tools and scripts,
ensuring high performance and reliability.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders to gather insights
and refine automation solutions.
Documentation and Training:
Create comprehensive documentation for automation processes and tools to
facilitate knowledge sharing.
Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on the use
of automation solutions.
Technology Stack
CAD Software: AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Inventor
Automation Tools: Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python, C#
Data Analysis Tools: Excel, R, Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
Version Control: Git, SVN
Project Management Tools: Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
8 -10 years of experience in CAD automation and integration, focusing on Autodesk
products and SolidWorks.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C#.
Strong experience with automation tools like Dynamo and Grasshopper.
Familiarity with data analysis and AI concepts relevant to automation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the AEC industry, particularly with CAD workflows and experience with
CAD environment.
Knowledge of AI-driven design tools and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Personal Attributes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-
functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality automation solutions.
Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and addressing challenges.
