Job Description Sales specialist West (Chemical Software Sales)


Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Professional with experience in selling software solutions to the Chemical and Process Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business development, managing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets by promoting our specialized software offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the chemical and process industry for software solutions (PLM, MES, Simulation, Digital Twin, CAD/CAM, etc.).
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and key stakeholders in chemical manufacturing organizations.
  • Understand customer pain points, processes, and challenges to position software solutions effectively.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, demos, and proposals to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, technical, and product teams to ensure solution alignment with customer requirements.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle including lead generation, qualification, negotiation, and closure.
  • Track and report sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts to management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the chemical manufacturing domain.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong background in software sales, preferably in chemical, pharmaceutical, or process manufacturing sectors.
  • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing software solutions such as PLM, MES, Simulation, Process Design, Digital Manufacturing, etc.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into business value.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently as well as in a team.
