Job Description
- As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing comprehensive UI test cases, scenarios, and scripts for both manual and automation testing. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing end-to-end testing, covering functional, regression, smoke, API, and performance testing using manual and automated methods. - Utilizing Bugzilla and JIRA for efficient defect tracking to ensure accurate reporting and resolution of issues. - Demonstrating proficiency in SQL for effective database testing and troubleshooting. - Troubleshooting and debugging manual and automation scripts and systems to maintain accuracy and reliability. - Conducting code reviews, offering technical guidance, and ensuring high-quality automation deliverables. - Monitoring and analyzing test results continuously, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing enhancements. - Collaborating with Agile teams to define test strategy and integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline. - Documenting automation processes, methodologies, and configurations for future reference and knowledge sharing. - Applying knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile development environment. - Creating documentation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Test Development Life Cycle (TDLC). - Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Good-to-have skills: - Foundational understanding of programming languages like Java/C/C++. - Proficiency in SQL for database testing. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Personal laptop/system. - Good communication skills and collaborative teamwork abilities. Required Technical Expertise: Manual Testing: - Proficiency in creating and executing test cases. - Experience in Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, and API Testing. Automation Testing: - Strong expertise in Selenium and Web Driver Tool for automated testing. Additional Details: - The role requires 0 to 6 months of hands-on experience in software testing. - The job entails full-time, permanent employment with a 6-day workweek. - Experience with Bugzilla and JIRA for efficient defect tracking is necessary. - Certification in Software Testing is a must.
