Role & responsibilities

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Data Modeling, Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory, and techniques. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy, optimizing pipelines, and ensuring data integrity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement end-to-end data solutions using Snowflake and DBT.
• Design and maintain robust data models (star/snowflake schemas) to support analytics and reporting.
• Develop and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Define and enforce best practices for data governance, metadata management, and documentation.
• Optimize performance of data pipelines and queries for cost and speed.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Snowflake: warehouse design, performance tuning, access controls.
• DBT: model creation, testing, documentation, version control.
• Azure Data Factory: pipeline design, scheduling, monitoring.
• SQL: advanced query writing and optimization.
• Proven experience in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and schema design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
