About this opportunity:
PDG Exposure portfolio like dual-mode Network Exposure Function (NEF) via Ericsson Cloud Core Exposure Server (CCES), Ericsson Network Location (ENL) and Ericsson Secure Entitlement Server (SES) brings monetizable capabilities as APIs that can be exposed in secure, harmonized, and manageable manner. We are looking at an experienced Engineering Support team member that help provide great engineering experience for our R&D team.
What you will do:
- Ericsson has diverse set of internal Cloud infrastructure providers to support its R&D development lab needs. EST team leverages such options to provide scalable, reliable and stable lab for its R&D teams.
- EST engineer is responsible for configure, installation and troubleshooting product environment and fulfil all the assigned project task and configuration activities within approved cost, time and quality frame.
- Design, validate and deploy Cloud and Linux environment and provide reasonable solution in consultation with Test, Platform and Security Architects.
- Drive cloud platform event management, evaluating its dimension and impact and initiate the appropriate control action.
- Maintain the environment at an operative state and contribute to continuous improvements in the organization. Bring in improvements to reduce down-time through automated and intelligence driven mechanisms.
- Take responsibility of the OpenStack process maintenance and continues optimization.
- Responsible for diverse platforms based on Ericsson Cloud Container Distribution (ECCD), VMware, KVM, OpenStack, etc.
- Deliver project tasks with quality and quantity assured before deadline.
- Configure and integrate nodes and solutions into networks.
- Capacity management and cost saving with highly efficient test lab.
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science / Electronics, information technology or related area
- Good knowledge in UNIX/Linux, familiar with the OS configuration.
- Competent in script programming, such as SHELL, Perl or Python, etc.
- Familiar with virtualization and cloud platforms (Openstack, Kubernetes, KVM, Docker) and networking knowledge, with installation and troubleshooting experience, remotely supported skills
- Solid understanding and hands-on knowledge of network protocols including IP, TCP, HTTP, etc.
- Good understanding of continuous development environment including Jenkins, Spinnaker, pipeline concepts, Groovy, etc.
- Being able to handle Ericsson propriety equipment and equipment from other vendors.
- Good at written English and can use English for non-complex tech. discussion.
