Job Description
- As an Operational Procurement buyer (Demand Planning professional) at Siemens, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the procurement function within our electronic product company. Your responsibilities will include creating purchase orders, providing detailed information on material availability, fostering strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and utilizing procurement tools and systems to streamline processes. You will be expected to lead a team of procurement professionals, prioritize tasks with strict deadlines, analyze market trends, evaluate suppliers, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Additionally, you will be required to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to electronic product procurement. To excel in this role, you should have a graduate/post-graduate degree in logistics, supply chain management, or Engineering in Electronics and Communication or electrical with at least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the electronic product industry. Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations, exceptional negotiation and communication skills, hands-on experience with SAP PP/MM Module and databases, and sound analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this position. You will have the opportunity to work in Goa with the possibility of traveling to other locations in India.
