Job Description

- The IBM iSeries Platform Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the IBM iSeries environment.

- Successfully manage system upgrades, patches, and configurations.

- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and efficiency.

- Coordinate with development teams to support applications running on the iSeries platform.

- Perform regular backups, restore tests, and disaster recovery drills.

- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.

- Implement security protocols and manage user access and permissions.

- Document procedures, changes, and system configuration for future reference.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth operations.

- Provide on-call support as needed, including weekends, to ensure system reliability.
