Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Specialist Payroll Operations is responsible for managing and executing end-to-end payroll processes with accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. This role ensures adherence to statutory regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives in payroll operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing:
  • Execute monthly payroll cycles for assigned regions/entities.
  • Validate inputs including attendance, bonuses, deductions, and statutory contributions.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate data flow.
  • Compliance & Audit:
  • Ensure payroll compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare and support internal and external audits related to payroll.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit readiness.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
  • Generate payroll reports, variance analysis, and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for payroll cost optimization.
  • System & Process Improvements:
  • Support payroll system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process enhancements.
  • Participate in UAT and implementation of new payroll tools or modules.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as a point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees and managers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, preferably in a multi-country or large-scale setup.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with payroll analytics.
  • Having experience in SuccessFactors and SAP is an added advantage
