Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are looking to hire a Payroll Manager with minimum 8+ years of experience with accurately and timely processing employee salaries, ensuring compliance with tax laws, maintaining payroll records, and addressing payroll-related inquiries.
Roles & responsibilities
- Maintaining payroll information by designing systems
- Directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data.
- Updating payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles and department/ division transfers etc.
- Payment to employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
- Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Communicate actively with Operations, HR and Billing to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.
- Ensure the management of all types of leave eg holiday, sick, maternity etc are administered efficiently.
Manage the End of Year statutory returns. - Liaise closely with finance department, ensuring that monthly reconciliations for budget purposes are undertaken.
- Produce detailed management reports as required by the CFO and others.
- Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
- Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Maintaining & ensuring 100% compliance on all statutory matters for states
Manage compliance of ESIC, PF, PT, IT, LWF, Minimum Wages Act, Contract Labour issues etc. - Maintain internal & external audits
- Coordinating with Statutory Compliance Consultant regarding PF / ESIC challan Monthly / Annually submission & returns, renewal of Shop & Establishment Licenses.
- Ensure and monitor matters pertaining to Registration, Licenses, and Renewals etc.
Provide necessary guidance and updates related to various labour law amendments / notifications to contractors. - Conduct statutory audits for compliances and updating documents regularly.
Liaison with concerned authorities and government officials for all related statutory compliances. - Protects the organisation from unnecessary exposure to Payroll Compliances, S&E, CLRA, Labour Law etc"
- Running the HR operations, which include every employee touchpoint from Entry to Exit.
Translate HR policy into Operating Procedure, which is easy to use. - HR System Updations - Timely and error free.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. payroll and human resources departments, insurance providers.
- Maintains a wide variety of records (e.g. provider contracts, claim files, employee records, etc.) for the purpose of providing accuracy of records and maximizing eligible payments.
Responds to inquiries from employees and/or external parties (e.g. status of claims, leave eligibility, etc.) for the purpose of resolving issues, facilitating communication among parties, and/or providing information or direction.
