Job Title:
3D & BIM Modeler (Architecture & Engineering)
Job Summary:
The 3D & BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing highly detailed Building Information Models and 3D visualizations for architectural and engineering projects. The role requires a strong understanding of both design and technical construction principles, ensuring models are accurate, coordinated, and compliant with project specifications. This position bridges the gap between architects, engineers, and construction teams by delivering precise, information-rich models for design development, coordination, and construction documentation.Key Responsibilities:
- BIM Modeling & Management
- Develop and maintain detailed BIM models using Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD, or similar platforms.
- Ensure model accuracy, proper element classification, and adherence to BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Coordinate and integrate architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines within a single federated model.
- Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts using software like Navisworks or BIM 360, Photoshop, InDesign, Auto Cad.
- 3D Visualization & Rendering
- Produce high-quality 3D renders, animations, and walkthroughs for design presentations and client approvals.
- Generate realistic material, lighting, and environment settings for architectural visualization.
- Documentation & Technical Support
- Prepare construction drawings, shop drawings, and detailed documentation directly from BIM models.
- Support architects and engineers with design changes, technical detailing, and drawing updates.
- Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure design intent and technical accuracy.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and provide model updates and visual materials as needed.
- Quality Control
- Follow and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and naming conventions.
- Conduct regular model audits to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, SketchUp, Rhino, and rendering tools (Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray, Twinmotion, etc.).
- Strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles, building codes, and construction methods.
- Experience in BIM coordination workflows and model federation.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good teamwork and project coordination abilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in BIM modeling and architectural/engineering design.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary projects (architecture, structural, MEP).
- Familiarity with international BIM standards (ISO 19650, AIA E203, etc.).
