Job Title: ITOM Architect (Discovery & CMDB)
Locations: Bangalore / Mumbai / Gurugram
Experience: 7+ Years
Type: Full-Time | Onsite/Hybrid (as per company policy)
Domain: IT Operations Management (ITOM)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced ITOM Architect who specializes in ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB (Configuration Management Database). The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of ITOM solutions to help optimize IT asset visibility and operational workflows.
You will play a key role in driving CMDB accuracy, improving discovery coverage, and integrating service-aware models within enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead implementation of ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB solutions.
- Design and execute ITOM roadmaps, including service mapping, dependency views, and CMDB health initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, application, and security teams to define discovery scopes and strategy.
- Define and enforce data governance, reconciliation rules, and CI class modeling.
- Lead CMDB normalization, data ingestion, and integration efforts from third-party tools.
- Provide technical leadership in developing scalable, compliant, and efficient CMDB architecture.
- Perform health assessments and continuous improvement of CMDB integrity and automation workflows.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in ServiceNow ITOM/CMDB/Discovery.
- Deep hands-on experience in ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB design, Service Mapping, and Mid Servers.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, network, storage, cloud).
- Experience with data integrations using APIs, web services, and ETL tools.
- Solid knowledge of CI class structures, relationships, and reconciliation rules.
- Experience in implementing best practices for CMDB health and governance.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes, especially Configuration Management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery / CMDB / ITOM).
- Experience with Cloud Discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of scripting (JavaScript, PowerShell, Python) for custom probes/sensors.
- Familiarity with Service Graph Connectors, IntegrationHub, and other ServiceNow modules.
