Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Develop and configure ServiceNow SAM Pro modules, including software models, entitlements, normalization, reconciliation, and publisher packs.
- Implement and manage integrations with external data sources (discovery tools, procurement, HR, CMDB, SCCM, etc.).
- Support lifecycle management workflows for software assets and licenses.
- Create and enhance Publisher Packs & SaaS Connectors for effective license tracking.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions using ServiceNow best practices.
- Configure reports, dashboards, and performance analytics for license usage, compliance, and optimization.
- Work on software discovery, normalization, and reconciliation to ensure accurate license positions.
- Collaborate with SAM Process Owners, Architects, and IT teams to ensure compliance and effective governance.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and provide production support for SAM Pro applications.
- Stay updated with ServiceNow releases, especially related to SAM Pro, and recommend enhancements.
Preferred candidate profile
- 7+ years of ServiceNow development experience, with at least 4+ years in SAM Pro.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, and Discovery.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro configuration, licensing models, normalization, reconciliation, and compliance reporting.
- Experience developing Publisher Packs, SaaS connectors, and lifecycle workflows.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow Studio.
- Understanding of software licensing (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, SaaS models, etc.).
- Knowledge of integration protocols (REST, SOAP, API) for ServiceNow with external tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile/DevOps environment.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) mandatory.
- ServiceNow SAM Pro Micro-Certification preferred.
