Job Description
Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead to guide the design, development, and scaling of our data platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with building large-scale, high-performance data systems, and will be responsible for leading a talented team of engineers. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the platform meets business objectives, adheres to best practices, and scales effectively as the business grows.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in software engineering and 5+ years in a leadership role.
Proven expertise with building and scaling data platforms using Snowflake, Kafka, Debezium, and related technologies.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Experience in financial services or fintech industry is highly desirable.
Deep understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and scale the data platform, ensuring it meets performance and reliability requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders across data, infrastructure, and product teams to define platform needs.
Oversee technical architecture decisions and ensure that platform components are robust, scalable, and secure.
Guide and mentor junior engineers to maintain high standards of code quality and best practices.
Define and enforce best practices for coding, testing, and deployment of data systems.
Stay up to date with emerging trends in data technologies, and introduce relevant new tools and frameworks.
Manage and troubleshoot complex technical challenges in the data platform.
