Currently, we are looking for a POS Consultant to join our team.
Job Description - Provide first and second-level technical support for CEGID Retail application issues, ensuring quick resolution for users.
- Must have experience in technical or application support, specifically with CEGID Retail or similar retail management systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server databases related to CEGID and GK POS, including performance monitoring, basic query optimization, and data integrity checks.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including writing T-SQL queries, understanding database structures, and performing basic administration tasks (backups, restores, monitoring).
- Support and resolve issues for GK POS (point-of-sale) systems, covering hardware, software, and integration challenges.
- Must have demonstrated experience supporting GK POS (or similar modern POS systems), encompassing troubleshooting software, hardware interfaces, and transaction flows.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across various layers (application, database and interfaces).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to escalate and resolve complex problems.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of issues, resolutions, and system configurations; participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities; and proactively monitor system health.
- A solid understanding of retail business processes and how technology supports them is key.
- Should be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, with experience using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
