Spec, IT Infrastructure Support deploys and supports the systems and technologies required by corporate, manufacturing, and distribution center users in a global enterprise environment. In addition to supporting all the technological needs of Polaris employees, Spec, IT Infrastructure Support, may also assist in providing local hands-on support for corporate tier 3 IS teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assess and prioritize daily work based on outstanding Worldwide Service Desk issues.
  • Ticket and time tracking using our ITSM solution, ServiceNow.
  • Support of devices such as laptops, desktops, handheld barcode scanners, custom workstations, label printers, and other proprietary technology.
  • Support for Windows based operating systems and Microsoft Office applications as well as other out of the box and developed software packages.
  • Administration of Active Directory and O365 for all user and end-user system objects
  • Provide local hands-on and remote support for corporate tier 3 IS teams including problem reporting and resolution for distribution centers, corporate offices, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Maintain ongoing computer refresh and setups.
  • Create documentation, standard work, and knowledge base articles.
  • Act as a local resource for Worldwide Service Desk projects
  • Manage IT Vendors and OEM contacts for procurement and operational requirements.
  • Assist in IT Budgeting exercise.
  • Perform with a continuous improvement mentality and provide metrics to show the realization.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Advanced knowledge of modern computer hardware wired and wireless networking, handheld barcode scanners, IP phones, printers, and peripheral computer equipment required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, and MacOS required.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining laptops and desktops in an enterprise environment required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 2016 and above, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Antivirus tools and Remote tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in many areas of infrastructure like application or software deployments, Troubleshooting application issues.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with remote peers.
  • Ability to deal collaboratively, diplomatically, and successfully with customers, co-workers and other professional colleagues, managers, and staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as work independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the IT organization, management, and End users.
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years experience working in an enterprise helpdesk setting required.
Preferred Skills:
  • A good knowledge of both Ubuntu and Linux in general is preferred
  • ITIL Certification
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Manual and physical dexterity required.
  • Office, Warehouse, and Manufacturing Plant Environment/As per Business needs.
  • Must be able to lift 20 Kgs equipment.
  • Evening Meetings/Calls outside general shifts are required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
