Position: Backend Developer Python, Django (React.js Add-on)

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer with at least 5 years of professional experience, including 3+ years of hands-on expertise in Django/Django REST Framework, to join our core engineering team. You will play a key role in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems for our next-generation SaaS healthcare platform. Experience with React.js is a strong plus, as you'll occasionally collaborate on full-stack features with our frontend team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and RESTful APIs using Python and Django.
- Design and optimize scalable database schemas and queries (PostgreSQL or similar).
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets industry best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver full-stack solutions.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance of backend services.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation mechanisms.
- Deploy services using Docker and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of strong backend development experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Django
- Strong grasp of software design principles, architecture patterns, and API development.
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM tools.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), testing tools (PyTest, DRF test), and API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to React.js and ability to support or collaborate on frontend tasks.
- Experience working in healthcare or Healthtech domains.
- Prior experience with microservices architecture or event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with WebSockets, or real-time data pipelines.
- Experience deploying scalable systems in cloud-native environments (ECS, Kubernetes, etc.).
