Job Overview:
Microsoft Sustainability Manager Implementation Engineer will lead the technical
deployment, integration, and ongoing configuration of Microsoft Sustainability Manager
for a customer. This role will drive sustainable transformation by leveraging Microsoft
Cloud for Sustainability tools, ensuring robust environmental data management, and
supporting actionable sustainability goals and transparent ESG reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and configure the Microsoft Sustainability Manager solution, including data
model setup, integration with business systems, and tailoring dashboards and reports
for company-specific requirements.
- Automate data connections, collection, and calculations to capture emissions, water
usage, waste management, and other environmental metrics across all relevant
operational scopes (Scope 1, 2, and 3).
- Familiarity with public data libraries such as DEFRA, NGAF, EPA, IEA, RTE, etc.
- Collaborate with sustainability, IT, and executive teams to gather requirements,
structure workflows, and ensure solution alignment with strategic and compliance
needs.
- Utilize Azure, Power Platform, and other Microsoft cloud technologies to extend and
customize Sustainability Manager features as necessary.
- Support data quality assurance, access management, and unit mapping for
Sustainability Manager; ensure auditing and accurate regulatory reporting.
- Deliver user training, technical documentation, and ongoing solution support to foster
adoption and maximize sustainability insights.
- Partner with product managers, solution architects, and business analysts to drive
continuous solution improvement and ensure integration with broader sustainability
initiatives.
