Azure Network Security Engineer (fortinet, Azure Vwan, Sd-wan) @ Sonata Software

Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Azure Network Security Engineer with hands-on expertise in Fortinet firewalls, Azure Virtual WAN, SD-WAN, and enterprise-grade DNS configurations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, implementing, and migrating on-premise networks into Azure cloud infrastructure, with deep knowledge of ExpressRoute, Hub & Spoke topology, and DNS resolvers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure and scalable Azure network architectures including Hub & Spoke and Virtual WAN.
  
• Configure and manage Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls and SD-WAN solutions.
  
• Lead the migration of on-premise networks into Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and high security.
  
• Manage and optimize ExpressRoute connections for hybrid cloud scenarios.
  
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure DNS Resolver, custom DNS servers, and private DNS zones.
  
• Ensure secure integration of SD-WAN with Azure Virtual WAN and FortiGate appliances.
  
• Monitor and maintain network health and security, addressing vulnerabilities proactively.
  
• Document architecture, changes, and SOPs, and work closely with security and infrastructure teams.
  

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and SD-WAN configuration
  
• Expertise in Azure networking including:
  
• Azure Virtual WAN (VWAN)
  
• Hub and Spoke topology
  
• ExpressRoute
  
• Azure DNS & DNS Resolver
  
• Proven experience in network migration from on-premise to Azure
  
• Familiarity with IPsec VPNs, BGP, and network routing protocols
  
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and network segmentation
