Aws Devops Engineer @ Quinnox

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• We are looking for a Release Manager & Scrum Master to oversee software release cycles, Agile practices, and cloud-based deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless release management, structured change control, and enhanced deployment automation using JIRA, AWS CLI, Jenkins, and CloudFormation scripts.
• Key Responsibilities
• Release Management & Cloud Deployment
• Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases, ensuring smooth deployments with minimal risk.
• Develop and implement automated deployment strategies using AWS Code Pipeline and Jenkins.
• Write and maintain AWS CloudFormation scripts for infrastructure automation and scalability.
• Ensure rollback strategies and post-deployment monitoring for continuous improvement.
• Utilize CLI commands for efficient resource management and debugging.
• Change Management & Agile Framework
• Oversee change control processes, ensuring compliance with IT governance policies.
• Assess the impact of changes, managing risk mitigation strategies across teams.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize release efficiency.
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration to align release goals with business objectives.
• Scrum Master Responsibilities
• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
• Remove roadblocks to team progress and Agile delivery.
• Guide teams in using JIRA and Confluence to track sprint progress and optimize workflows.
• Advocate for Agile principles and best practices to drive productivity.
• Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong experience in release management, change control, and Agile methodologies.
• Expertise in AWS Pipeline, Jenkins, and CloudFormation scripting.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM) or equivalent Agile certifications.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.

• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and automation tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and enterprise-scale release/change processes.
• Strong ability to bridge development, operations, and stakeholder management.
